Errol Louis (born 1962 in Harlem, New York, USA) is a journalist and television programme presenter based in New York City. At the moment, Louis serves as the host of Inside City Hall, a show on New York City politics that airs on NY1 every night at 11 p.m. The New York Daily News published Louis’s columns, and he was also a member of the newspaper’s editorial board, until he joined NY1 in November 2010. Upon taking over as presenter of the Morning Show, a three-hour discussion show on radio station WWRL, on June 23, 2008, Louis was replaced by Mark Riley, who held the role until his retirement in 2009. According to the Village Voice, he was voted the finest newspaper writer and radio programme presenter in the city in November 2010. 

Mr. Louis is a contributing writer at CNN. Throughout his career, he has appeared often on CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight and other news shows. Before joining the Daily News, Louis worked as an assistant editor for The New York Sun. He also authored a weekly column for Our Time Press, which is located in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighbourhood, called Commerce and Community, for many years. Teaching college classes, co-founding the Central Brooklyn Federal Credit Union, and being recognised by New York Magazine as one of the “10 New Yorkers Making a Difference” was among his accomplishments. He was described as “a person of enthusiasm, vision, and independent thinking.” In addition to his undergraduate degree in government from Harvard, he also has an MA in political science from Yale, as well as a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. He grew up in New Rochelle and now resides in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, with his wife, Juanita Scarlett, and their son, who was born in the city.
