Blade Icewood (born Darnell Quincy Lindsay on March 14, 1977, died on April 19, 2005) was an American rapper who was born in Detroit, Michigan. Icewood sprang up on the westside of Detroit, at the intersection of 7 Mile Road and Evergreen Avenues. Originally from Detroit, he was a member of the rap group Street Lord’z and is regarded to be one of the most important rappers in the Detroit underground rap genre. On April 19, 2005, while working at a car wash in the 7 Mile and Faust Rd neighbourhood of westside Detroit, he was tragically shot as a result of gang-related violence.
